HOW TO COLLECT
Collecting bee venom has never been easier with our collector. On this page you will find how to properly collect bee venom using a Smart-Bee – Bee Venom Collector.
Before you start, you need to make sure that the glass is inserted into the panel. If not, place glass under the wires in each collection panel. Connect the panels to the Smart-Bee device. Leave the connected panels at the entrance to the hives facing so that the wires are at the top and the glass below. Also connect the device to the power supply, and then turn it on. The device will start sending impulses to the connected panels. The bees respond to the electrical impulses produced in the device and begin stabbing the glass under the impulse wires. In this way, they start releasing the venom to the glass in liquid state. The venom on the glass dries quickly. It is removed by scratching and stored in a glass jar in powder form. The well-closed jar is then placed in the freezer at -15 ° C. This way it can be stored for at least 5 years, retaining its healing effect.
Bee venom can be collected from early April to late September. The best results are obtained when a collector is used on the hives for about 40-45 minutes, and then this hives has about 60 minutes rest. You can use the collecting panels to another hives during “rest” time. You can repeat the procedure on the same hives after 2-3 days break.
Based on experience so far, the expected yield of bee venom per hive over a period of 45 minutes would be 0.1-0.7 grams depending on the health and strength of the hive, outdoor temperature and season.
It is important to note that the mild impulses produced by the device are strictly controlled so that the device is harmless to the bees.
