HOW TO COLLECT
Looking for a Safe and Simple Way to Collect Bee Venom?
With SMART-BEE bee venom collection sets, harvesting bee venom has never been easier or safer. Designed for convenience and efficiency, our innovative systems can be powered in three different ways — via USB, solar energy, or a built-in rechargeable battery. This flexibility allows you to choose the ideal power source depending on your environment and setup.
Every SMART-BEE collection set is built with a focus on maximum yield, bee safety, and long-term reliability. Whether you’re an experienced beekeeper or just beginning your journey into bee venom harvesting, our equipment is designed to give you the best results with minimal effort and maximum care for your bees.
Crafted with durable, high-quality components, our devices ensure consistent performance across multiple collection cycles — making them a smart investment for both hobbyists and professionals.

How to Collect Bee Venom
Once you’ve completed all necessary pre-collection steps, such as inserting the glass plates into each panel and connecting them to the collector using the provided cables, you can begin the venom collection process.
Place the panels at the entrances of the hives, ensuring that the wires are positioned on top and the glass plates below. Then, connect the device to a power source and switch it on. The system will start emitting gentle electrical impulses through the wires.
In response to these impulses, the bees instinctively sting the glass surface beneath the wires, releasing venom without physical harm. The venom first appears in liquid form but dries rapidly into a thin crystalline layer. After the session, this dried venom can be carefully scraped off and stored in a clean, airtight glass jar. For long-term preservation, store the sealed jar in a freezer at –15 °C. Properly stored bee venom retains its healing properties for up to five years.
After each collection session, clean the panels using a wool or cotton cloth lightly soaked in 60–70% alcohol. Avoid using any cleaning agents with strong odors, as they may deter bees from returning to the panels.

Bee Venom Collection – Efficient, Gentle & Proven
Bee venom can be harvested from early April to late September, aligning with the active season of the bees. Using our latest-generation venom collectors, beekeepers can achieve optimal results through a carefully designed and bee-friendly process.
For best performance, we recommend placing the collector on a hive for approximately 30 minutes. After this, the hive should be allowed to rest for at least 30 minutes, during which you can simply switch the collecting panels to other hives and continue the process without interruption. The same hive can be reused for collection after a short break of 2–3 days, ensuring a consistent yield and minimal stress for the colony.
Expected Yield
Based on real-world experience and field testing, the average venom yield per hive over a 30-minute collection period typically ranges between 0.04 g and 0.2 g. However, the actual yield may vary depending on several factors, including:
- The health and population strength of the hive
- Ambient temperature and weather conditions
- The specific time of the season during the collection
Safe for Bees – Scientifically Designed
What truly sets our collector apart is its focus on bee safety. The gentle electrical impulses used to stimulate venom release are precisely regulated and individually controlled for each panel output. This ensures a completely harmless experience for the bees, preserving the health of the colony while enabling efficient venom extraction.
With our advanced technology and commitment to bee welfare, you can confidently incorporate venom collection into your beekeeping routine — ethically, efficiently, and sustainably.
